What a beautiful Arizona morning! It is spring time here and as they say, “The desert is in full bloom, AND so are the allergies!” The fragrance of the orange blossoms is absolutely indescribable but one sniff for us and we have to grab a box of tissues! HA! We have literally gone through five big boxes of tissues in the last four days; however, we feel that is better than shoveling snow!
Larry’s body clock is finally getting back to normal after his trip to Romania. The first 3-4 days he was back, he wanted to sleep all day and be up all night. I reminded him, “This is not going to work!” After a few more days, things have regulated and he is back on schedule.
Last Sunday, we had the privilege of returning to minister at Harvest Church in Glendale, Arizona, pastored by Ron and Sue Rockwell. What a great HARVEST of souls! Larry preached the message, “What A Sinner Finds Out 60 Seconds After He Dies”. At the 9:00 AM service, 15 responded to the altar call, and at the 11:00 AM service, over 70 stepped forward and subsequently made their way into the counseling room. A couple of my counselors shared with me afterwards that there were many shedding tears of repentance and then tears of joy, as well as, that for many who responded, this was a first time commitment to ask Christ to be Lord of their lives.
Harvest Church is exploding under the leadership of Pastor Ron and Sue Rockwell, along with the marvelous ministry team they have serving with them. They were youth pastors in our home church in Sisseton, SD, many years ago. We have also had the opportunity to be with them when they pastored in Colorado. And now, I believe this is the fourth time we have been with them in Arizona. Their campus is growing and they have additional campus churches worshipping onsite.
“Thank you for coming to Harvest Church again. Great services and many lives were touched by God’s love.”

It was especially thrilling to work with their staff. One of which was Rev. Tim Glass, who serves as Executive Pastor, and his wife Kari. Tim is the son or our dear friend, pastor and evangelist, Jack Glass. We have watched Tim grow up since he was a little boy. Also, Kyle Rockwell, son of Pastor Ron and Sue, is a drummer for the worship band and heads up the creative arts for the church. He is doing a fabulous job. It is always a joy to see children following the footsteps of their parents in ministry, making a difference in lives! (Side note---in the picture, can you tell Kari is the mother to Brittany? A strong family resemblance!)
"Wow, what a response! We were overwhelmed with the large numbers to the call for salvation, recommitment, and public declaration of faith. Larry and Gloria did a wonderful job of ministering in word and song. Thanks Larry and Gloria for your commitment to evangelism across America for the last 50+ years."
After a wondrous soulwinning service, Larry had to put on his work clothes this week to get caught up on some motorhome projects. We had eight new tires put on the motorhome. God has blessed us with safety for the past seven years and it was time for new tires! The cost….about $6,000…which was a good deal, but an ouch just the same. They are a bit more expensive than car tires! HA! Now, we are ready to be up and running for many more thousands of soulwinning miles. We love ministry!
God bless you and have a wonderful week!
Gloria

In honor of the fragrant orange blossoms....
Orange Salad
2 (3 oz) pkgs orange Jello
2 cups hot water
1 pint orange sherbet
1 can mandarin oranges with the juice
Mix Jello with the hot boiling water. Stir until dissolved. Add oranges with their juice. Add sherbet. Chill until set.
GROW AN ALOE VERA PLANT in a pot near the kitchen door. Break off a leaf and apply the juice for the best-ever relief from burns or insect bites. The plant will grow and proliferate with little care apart from some occasional watering. It's a natural remedy, virtually free, and unequalled for burns from stove or iron.
